Funeral Flowers
Farewell flowers are some of the hardest flowers to choose and if you have recently lost someone, firstly let me begin by saying I am so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially if that person you are saying goodbye to was your special someone. For years we have used flowers at funerals to say what is sometimes too hard to say out loud. Flowers help brighten what is a very dark time and having flowers at a funeral ensures that your loved one gets a special send off.
At Behind Every Bouquet we offer a bespoke funeral service. We completely understand that you have a lot to deal with at this very sad time and we want to make the process of picking your farewell flowers as simple and fuss free as possible. We offer a free consultation during which we will discuss the deceased in more detail. What were they like as a person. What their favourite colour was. If they had any favourite flowers. From this conversation we should have a better understanding to recommend which flowers would best suit your special someone. We will liaise with the local funeral directors to arrange delivery of the flowers ahead of the funeral and they will transport them to the service.
Below are some examples of farewell flowers we offer:
Single Ended Sprays
A single ended spray is usually about half the size of a casket spray (Around 3ft), although it can be made smaller or larger upon request. It is pear shaped, the bottom is rounded and it comes to a point at the top. The design would normally consist of a mix of flowers and foliage.
These can be suitable if you don't have the budget for a casket spray.
Casket Sprays
A double ended spray is usually much larger than a single ended spray (these can be up to 6ft). It would normally cover a large proportion of the coffin and as such is usually purchased by the family of the deceased as the main floral tribute.
A casket spray has a diamond shape, with two points at either end and it widens in the middle.
The design would normally consist of a mix of flowers and foliage.
These are typically your most expensive tributes.
Wreaths
A wreath is a very popular funeral tribute as its shape symbolises no beginning and no end and ever lasting love.
Wreaths usually start from around 10inches but can be made larger.
Typically the design contains flowers and foliage but wreaths can also be made from just flowers or just foliage.

Heart Tributes
Heart tributes can be open, like the one pictured above with a hole in the middle. Solid with no hole in the middle or double (where two hearts are linked together).
Sizes start from inches wide.
Typically the design contains flowers and foliage but hearts can also be made from just flowers or just foliage.
The heart shape symbolises love.

Cross Tributes
The sign of the cross is often symbolic of religion.
This shape consists of a long staff crossed near the top with a shorter bar.
Typically the design contains flowers and foliage but it can also be made from just flowers or just foliage.
Crosses start at 2ft and range up to 5ft.

Tied Sheafs
A tied sheaf is becoming a more popular tribute, especially if you are environmentally conscious as it requires no floral foam.
They can also be quite cost effective (depending on flower choices).
It is a hand tied design usually made up of a mix of flowers and foliage. It has a kite shape and a domed profile to ensure the flowers are visible when the design is laid on the coffin.
The flowers can be repurposed after the funeral if desired.
